Time spent supporting senior executives at Disney gave her a foundation she then carried into building her own ventures. As General Manager of a wellness marketing startup and co-founder of a yoga and wellness studio in Los Angeles, she learned to build operational infrastructure from the ground up. Joy joins SVI with a passion for health & wellness, ensuring the leadership vision translates into seamless daily execution.

Most recently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Chitogel Limited, Ed spearheaded the company’s international growth strategy, turning a pioneering New Zealand-born hydrogel technology into an internationally recognized standard of care in advanced ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) surgery.

George Hermann, a Stanford trained mechanical engineer, has a 40+ year history in successful medical device product development and is most well-known for his long-term position leading up product innovation with prominent inventor/surgeon Dr. Thomas Fogarty. Together, they formed the nidus for numerous startup companies that included the development of products in cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, urology, general surgery, women’s healthcare and beyond.

Gil is a medical device executive and engineering leader with over 25 years of experience driving innovation across disposables, implants, and robotics. He specializes in leading R&D and manufacturing organizations through the full product lifecycle, from early-stage design through scaled commercial production, with a consistent track record of building world-class operations that transform start-ups into profitable, high-growth enterprises, several of which were later acquired by industry leaders including Medtronic, Hologic, and Baxter.In 2010, Gil joined Focal Therapeutics, where he played a key role in developing and scaling manufacturing for the BioZorb 3D Bioabsorbable Marker, guiding the product from early production through commercial scale and helping establish it as a widely adopted tool in breast cancer treatment planning. Throughout his career, Gil has combined deep technical expertise with strong operational leadership to deliver complex, regulated products at scale.

Skilled in Medical Devices, Management, Capital Equipment, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), international regulatory, compliance, and clinical affairs, and Research and Development (R&D) functional oversight. He is typically the lead executive responsible for identifying targets, conducting due diligence, and, most importantly, managing the post-merger integration of technology and R&D teams.
